    Article by Astrid Desmousseaux, Journalist:

“The erasure of the human figure and the landscape in motion are explored through fragmentation, hybridization, and distortion.”
When we enter Anne-Sophie Larcena’s world, we encounter the complexities of the human soul and the imprints of past and present. The heartbeat of life pulses through her paintings, where fragmented, ever-moving moments intermingle.
Anne-Sophie Larcena creates rhizomatic narratives. She weaves her work between illusion and reality. Her process interlaces photography and painting, multiplies the back-and-forth, embraces chance, and opens a dialogue between impermanence and the living world. Figuration dances with abstraction. The canvases blur; figures and landscapes remain vaporous.
In her investigations, she explores the effacement of the body, the landscape in motion, fragmentation, hybridization, and distortion. Overpainting, partial or total, plays a central role on the canvas. To exorcise the passage of time, she composes scenarios of entanglement, assemblage, doubling, and the play of mirrors. The viewer becomes a witness to these metamorphoses.
She layers multiple coats of acrylic, glazes, and materials to let the image emerge gradually, like a photograph in development.
She transforms situations and opens new pathways so that each person can create their own world.

Vibrations Lumineuses - Luminous Vibrations

'Luminous Vibrations' explores my deep connection to South America, a continent whose identity speaks to me especially in light of my children’s adoption. This inquiry continues my artistic exploration while deepening themes such as memory, movement, and trace. It also shifts the positioning of my pictorial practice through the use of colors and forms I had not previously explored through this lens. Luminous Vibrations symbolizes resilience.
